New collages
Some small collages I made last week. I’m pretty excited about this series of collages, it feels nice to be putting things in order. I’ll be bringing lots of new work to Unique LA this weekend, although I have lots more to do before then.
Drew this last year, it takes me forever to get things photographed. Just put it up in my shop, trying to get my ducks in a row this week.
This is one of the last prints I made before I left Portland, a very limited edition screenprint. How limited, you ask? There’s only four, and one has already been sold. I just put another one up in my shop.
I’ve been working on some new embroidery projects on hand printed fabric… not entirely sure what I’m doing, but it’s really fun to just experiment!
Another recent drawing I made. The bottom layer is this crazy silver silkscreen shape, I love that metallic ink.
I’ve been doing a lot of sumi ink drawings like this lately. Hope to post more later this week, after I get a chance to photograph them.

finally finished this self portrait after ignoring it for a few months… doesn’t really look much like me, though

in my (seemingly neverending) quest to teach myself things that i didn’t learn in school, i am starting a new project. i am going to try to design bookcovers, without much of a clue as to how that process works. i made up this cover this afternoon, using an old photo of mine, and an idea for a book title that has been rolling around in my head for a while. obviously, covers i make in the future will be meant to cover both sides of a book, and have all the important details (author, etc.) but i thought this was a starting point. plus, i think sentimental posters are an idea in their prime.

worked on this print/painting this evening… not sure if i like what’s happening with the grass. i guess i’ll look at it again in the morning.
Back home.
I’m back at home, and trying to get some work done, taking photos of some leftover merch from Renegade. Frida has other plans, though.

some new little paintings i made for my $5 bin at renegade! i’m making a bunch of tiny art (all around 3×3 in.) to sell for super cheap at the craft fair. fun!

Finished this drawing today, somewhat pleased with how it turned out. I want to be doing drawings like this, only much bigger. I really know how to create monumental tasks for myself, huh? I’ll be turning thisĀ into a screenprint (hopefully) later this week. I also drew a bearded lady today, but I’ll share that with you another time.
