It has been almost two weeks since I last posted! Shameful! Upsetting!
And yet, unsurprising. I feel like I am running about with my head caught on fire lately. I want to make my absence up to you, though. I’m hoping you didn’t notice I was gone, but in case you did, here is a photo of balloons, which I found on ffffound.

I saved this illustration to my desktop earlier this week, and I’ve laughed every time I’ve opened my laptop since. What can I say? I’m immature, and Richard Hogg’s images are amazing!
ps: not sure if i should tag this one under “balloon art,” but i’d love to see this reproduced in real life… now all i have to do is convince one of my friends to shove a dozen “balloon-animal” length ballons down their pants…. hmm.
more balloon art
because I never tire of it.

“Light Breakfast,” made by David Sykes.

found on black eiffel. are you going to go see that pixar movie, up?
just because it has been a while
more balloon art!

remember this guy?

i found the photo through ffffound, which is guilty of posting awesome photos like this without crediting the people who made them. pretty frustrating. earlier today, i managed to track down who the artist is. artists, actually. it’s a collaborative effort the artists are calling lucy and bart, technically Lucy McRae and Bart Hess. Here’s more of their amazing work, which I found on their blog.

almost watched le ballon rouge to cheer myself up, but then remembered that the ending actually makes me really sad. ugh. 30 rock reruns it is.
more tim walker.
i posted about tim walker a while back, but after returning to look at more of his photos this morning, i decided to show you a bit more of his work:

a lot more on his website.

i’m sorry i’ve been slacking a bit this week. i’ll make it up to you.
on a side note, wouldn’t it be nice if whenever someone wanted to apologize, instead of buying flowers or a card, they would just get you a whole bunch of balloons? Maybe I am the only one that would prefer this.
photos found here.

Photos by Youngna Park. She captures such amazing light in her photos… reminds me of California (even though I think she lives in NYC).

I seem to be posting quite a bit of balloon related art here. I am intrigued by this fact. Maybe you’ve noticed some patterns, too? Anyway, I decided to tag all the balloon art I post. You can click the link at the bottom of the post to see the other posts on this topic. FUN!
Both these photos were found on 20×200, the first is by Dorthe Alstrup, and the second was made by Juliane Eirich.
I fell in love with Andrea Galvani’s work earlier this year, but lost the link to her website. Today I found it again! Hooray!
