Made this earlier today, while I put off larger, more intimidating projects.
I’ve got a busy weekend coming up. Craft fair, scanning slides, trying to get some prints finished, beard orders pending, etc. I really want to ignore all that and just make tiny collages.
Do you know what today is? It’s the day I post my 200th post on this blog! And what better artist to post about for my 200th post than Keetra Dean Dixon. She did an art project called Anonomous Hugging, which I find hilarious.
TED talks are amazing. This is my new favorite way to find inspiring women (artists, writers, scientists, etc.) to motivate me to make something of my life. Margaret Wertheim is my latest TED find; what a cool lady!

finally put something up in my apartment.
After almost two months with only minimal stuff on the walls, I finally put up a small fraction of my envelope collection over my couch. I love looking at them every morning, reminds me of why I started collecting them in the first place. Amazing how these little things I dug out of post office recycling bins ended up bringing me a so much happiness.

As much as I love the Keep Calm and Carry On poster, I have been noticing a huge number of equally excellent motivational posters recently (on Etsy, mainly). I decided to collect some of my favorites here, to get lots of good feelings into one little blog post.

Excellent flute beatboxing by Greg Pattillo. This guy played in Portland on Friday night! I’d say we should have gone, but at the same time, I wonder how many of these “flute remixes” i could handle in one sitting. This Seseme Street version is fun, though!
