Made these yesterday. Not sure what prompted me to make them, besides wanting to figure out a way to fit triangles into circles… a seemingly impossible task. I also made chocolate chip banana bread. What have you been making lately?
a reminder

another image i’ve saved on my desktop too long to remember where it came from. if any readers can identify the artist, let me know.
it’s true, though. let’s keep it in mind.
remember this guy?

i found the photo through ffffound, which is guilty of posting awesome photos like this without crediting the people who made them. pretty frustrating. earlier today, i managed to track down who the artist is. artists, actually. it’s a collaborative effort the artists are calling lucy and bart, technically Lucy McRae and Bart Hess. Here’s more of their amazing work, which I found on their blog.

I want to live here. Can you even imagine what it would be like to build a house like that? I’m officially making that a new life goal: build my own house (and make it an amazing one.) Can’t remember exactly where I found this photo (noticing a pattern lately?), but I think it may have come from Apartment Therapy.

I can’t remember where i saved this photo from, but I LOVE THESE SOCKS. I can only imagine how comfortable these would be. Perfect for walking around the apartment.

Beautiful photo taken by Camil Tulcan. How perfect is the positioning of the mirror?

can’t remember where i found this, but i googled mitch ansara, and he is a real person.
happy birthday to me
I bought myself a little print for my birthday. I love this little lady:

Check out the other cute prints in hsinping’s etsy shop!

here’s a still from an awesome animated ink blot movie.
i agree with the fourth commentor on this video… inspirational and sublime. animation by the juzzard.
WHO IS THIS?

i remember learning about this guy in a performance art class, but can’t remember his name!! the images make me laugh, though.

almost watched le ballon rouge to cheer myself up, but then remembered that the ending actually makes me really sad. ugh. 30 rock reruns it is.

kinda bummed today. all work and no play. also, i had to do a lot of walking while it snowed and hailed. usually this would be the high point of my day, but somehow it was just tiring. this photo is from thank you very little’s flickr.

Found this incredible project from way back in 2005. Two artists took a home that was going to be torn down, and built this beautiful tunnel using wood from different parts of the house. It draws you in visually, as you can tell from the groups of gawkers staring at it in awe. Read more about the project here.

Jenny Pollak makes these wonderful photographs, kind of abstract landscapes taken through foggy windows. They have this wonderful nostalgic quality to them, but a few are kinda menacing. You can see more from the series here.
